Welcome to High Lawn!
"Proud to be family owned"
High Lawn Funeral Home was founded in 1994 and High Lawn Memorial Park founded in 1927. Combined total of over 88 years of dedicated excellent service to our community. Experience the High Lawn difference for yourself by simply calling, emailing, or stopping by-- 7 days a week!
With our "at-home" atmosphere, we strive to make our families and visitors feel comfortable while paying respects to their lost loved ones, and we make considerable efforts to maintain our focus on the highest standards of service you expect. Our goal here is to make an everlasting memory of your loved one by personalizing the greatest details to the services we provide. Whether you want simple services, an elaborate ceremony or no services at all; whether you want ground burial, entombment, cremation or inurnment; isn’t it a relief to know you can make arrangements for all these services with us, at High Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park?
Today there are several funeral service providers to choose from. What you may not know is that not all funeral homes are owned by local families. While they may have been operating in your community for years, and their names have not changed, some funeral homes have sold out to national conglomerates. These funeral service conglomerates keep the original family name on their businesses because they know that at our greatest time of need you are more likely to turn to a local family you feel you can trust than to a national chain you know nothing about; we urge you to ask. At High Lawn we are proud to be one of the very few family owned and operated funeral homes in Southern West Virginia as well as one of Southern West Virginia's family owned and operated Perpetual Care Cemetery's with 4 mausoleums including niches. When you call on High Lawn you will be directed to a professional licensed funeral director and a cemetery family service counselor--YOU DO NOT have to answer to an out-of-state corporate office or employees that aren't trained as funeral directors such as market managers, secretaries, or funeral attendants.
Also, at High Lawn Funeral Home, I will help assist you in your aftercare such as filing of life insurance, UMWA, Railroaders, VA Benefits, *assisting with any probate (*although legal advice may be needed), or any other final details that may seem overwhelming for you and your family. This is a complimentary service.
Interested in a preneed package? If you and your family are ever interested in making preneed funeral services arrangements, you will sit down with myself or a licensed pre-need counselor that have been trained by funeral professionals to help make these final decisions.
Don't be shy! Stop in and see the High Lawn difference for yourself and meet our staff, 7 days a week.
Thanks again for visiting!
