Obituary for Cheryle Lynn Sanders

Cheryle Lynn Sanders
It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce that Cheryle “Cheri Scott” Sanders, 61, of Oak Hill, WV, while surrounded by loved ones, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 13, 2018. She left us all to begin another life with the Lord, and her loved ones who went before her.

Born in Williamson, WV to Charles W. Scott and Opal G. Yates, Cheryle graduated from Williamson High School in 1974 and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Morris Harvey College, and later a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Mountain State University; earning high honors while being selected as Valedictorian for her graduating class. She had many career interests and accomplishments while she devoted her life to always helping others. She was very proud of the contributions she provided by tirelessly working with the Governor of West Virginia towards the improvement of the advocacy given to the disabled residents of West Virginia.

Cheryle was always supportive and encouraging; her sage advice and caring nature were traits that easily drew everyone to her. She never hesitated to sacrifice her needs for the good of her family, and will be remembered as a selfless, altruistic lover of life who always had a smile, even when times were tough. She never complained and always saw the good in everything. She actively rescued and loved many dogs throughout her life and always provided a loving home to them. She loved her West Virginia mountains, country music, traveling with her Sister and socializing with her friends, but the things she cherished most was being a devoted Wife, Mother, Sister and Grandmother.

Those left to treasure her memory are her Husband, Art Sanders and her daughter, Cheryln Kincaid of Oak Hill, WV; her son, Scott Kincaid, his wife Sarah, and her two Grandchildren, Lily and Evan of Fairfax, VA; her Sister, Renee Coffey and her husband Alan of Turkey Creek, KY; her brother Greg Scott and his wife Linda of Inez, KY; her Brother, Paul and his wife Tammy Scott of Delbarton, WV, and numerous Friends, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 21st, at 12 p.m. at High Lawn Memorial Park, Mausoleum #4, 1435 E. Main Street, Oak Hill, WV 25901.
